As you may or may not know, I’m a young musician trying to make it in the music business. If you have seen my YouTube channel you will by now have an idea of the things I do. If you haven’t… WHY NOT :).
From the age of 6 I’ve been playing the piano but one day my brother bought a guitar with the intention of learning to play. After a short while he got bored and the guitar ended up gathering dust in the corner of the bedroom. I used to walk past it most days looking at it thinking “I’d like to learn how to play that”. After a while I plucked up the courage to ask my brother if I could borrow it and when he said yes that’s when the fire was lit. I spent hours in front of YouTube learning different chords, playing until my fingers were so sore I couldn’t bend them. Everything I do on the guitar I have learnt to do myself. I’ve not had one lesson (honestly).
I took my guitar on holiday to Marton Mere in Blackpool 2 years ago and entered a talent contest. This saw me playing in front of almost 1000 people and when I came off the stage a little girl came over with her gran and asked if she could have my autograph and her picture taken with me. I’ll never forget that :).
After a while and with some persuasion from my mum and dad, I plucked up the courage to go to an open mic night. To get positive feedback from people who didn’t know me or had never seen or heard me play was unbelievable, and it was at that point the live performing bug bit me and I wanted to see how far I could go.
At the open mic nights I played in I was always plugging into a PA system that was provided but it got to the stage where I was starting to get people booking me for performances and I didn’t have my own PA system. My uncle is a DJ and for the first few I managed to borrow his PA but I knew there was going to come a time when I wanted to borrow it for a gig and he would be needing it for work at the same time. My mum and dad came to the rescue and bought me a PA system and that was it, now I was off and running.

I started off playing covers of songs, again if you have seen my YouTube channel you will see that the biggest majority of the songs on there are Ed Sheeran songs. Then I started writing my own songs, some of which you can also see on my channel. I’m hoping to go into studio soon to start recording my songs professionally.
Hopefully this is the start of an exciting journey, one which with your help, we will take together and who knows where we will finish up
Again, thanks for reading this and hopefully I’ll be on a stage near you soon.
